Welcome to our website! As we have the ability to list over one million items on our website (our selection changes all of the time), it is not feasible for a company our size to record and playback the descriptions on every item on our website. However, if you have a disability we are here to help you. Please call our disability services phone line at 800.SLEEP411 during regular business hours and one of our kind and friendly personal shoppers will help you navigate through our website, help conduct advanced searches, help you choose the item you are looking for with the specifications you are seeking, read you the specifications of any item and consult with you about the products themselves. There is no charge for the help of this personal shopper for anyone with a disability. Finally, your personal shopper will explain our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and help you place an order if you so desire.

Proudly Serving the Community since 1964

In the early fifties a European businessman decided to move to America. Henry Kraus migrated from Czechoslovakian to San Francisco where he started his career as an upholstery producer.

He soon moved his team to Burbank and began producing electric adjustable beds in 1964. Electropedic Adjustable Bed Manufacturing Company was established. Henry specialized in selling electric adjustable beds to the public from factory owned stores through partnerships with merchants in the southwest. Twenty years later after many different stores in several states Beds Etc. of California, Inc. was established in 1986 as a retail division of Electropedic Products, Inc. with one store in Los Angeles as the next generation took over with close ties to the factory.

Henry’s daughter Lori Kraus first opened Beds Etc. in Los Angeles in 1983. Henry continued to open stores in Tucson, Phoenix, Denver, Seattle, Bellevue and throughout Texas. Lori Kraus and Ron Leparulo opened a second location in 1991 in Torrance, California. They were married in 1995 and although Lori took the name Leparulo Ron took the name Beds Etc. to Costa Mesa and Pasadena.

We opened our Costa Mesa location in 1995 and then Pasadena, in 1996. We also moved our Torrance store 5 blocks in 1996 and changed the store name to Beds Etc. of Torrance at a store we operated until 2017. We operated three stores with three warehouses for several years before we merged the stores into one company and opened our Hawthorne warehouse in 2000. On January 1, 2001 we merged all three bed stores into one corporation Beds Etc. of California, Inc. Later in 2001 we opened our beautiful store in Studio City as a template of what we do best. Iron beds, Day beds, Mattresses and of course Electropedic adjustable beds with all the accessories that go in the bedroom set up as a boutique showroom. This store was truly beautiful.

We relocated our boutique showroom into our new location Studio City in 2014. That same year we opened our new Torrance location with the same look and good vibe as Studio City. We relocated to Redondo Beach in 2017 and remodeled a beautiful store there too.

We currently operate 4 showrooms including a recently remodeled West Los Angeles showroom, Studio City, Torrance and Redondo Beach.
